The Force Is Strong In this One...

I couldn't resist putting these on here...

My mobile phone deal lets me get a new model every year for free, so I grabbed the new Sony Ericsson. However, I had all these great photos of baby Luke from the day he was born right up to his 2nd birthday in February this year. Trouble was, I was concerned I might lose them when I switched over to the new phone.

So thanks to the great God Ebay, conflicting advice from different mobile phone shops, and a lot of patient fiddling, I present to you..in all his glory...young Skywalker...

Coaching Weapons Of Mass Distribution

McDonalds isn’t a place I find myself in very often. We prefer to eat in a restaurant where the menu isn’t on the roof. But pressed for time, a ravenous two year old in tow and rush hour just starting, it seemed like a good idea…

So there we are standing in line, wondering what we’ll have, squinting to read the options from the back of the queue, and it struck me. Is this really an efficient way of running a business, or not?

In my role as a Practice Building Coach, I teach an invisible secret weapon strategy that adds profits to any practice, makes business easier for the owner, adds massive value for the client, stimulates creativity and allows you to capture the sales that you’d otherwise have missed.

The magic bullet [though there isn’t one] is the Conveyor Belt analogy – to firstly have in place a funnel at the front which draws prospects to you. This is sometimes called an “ethical lure” – a free report, an e-book, a 5 part e-course, some kind of information in exchange for the customer’s contact details. This is also known as “front end acquisition”, acquiring new leads at the front end of the conveyor belt.

Every good Coaching or Therapist website should have some kind of free information available in exchange for the prospect’s email address, thus building a list of interested possible clients.

Think back to McDonalds. Just how do they get people in the door in the first place? Apart from high visibility in the main street, and the occasional TV advert, just how do they “get you”? We had no plans to go there till we spotted the familiar red and yellow signage [and aren’t they all the same colour? The colour Red stimulates appetite. Think red light district. Red for danger…]

Or is it the case that they have such a strong brand awareness that they don’t need to promote themselves?

And what else could they be doing while we stand in the obligatory line? Wasted opportunity # 1. What about screens on the walls with offers, or adverts, or club memberships? A child’s entertainer, close up magician, or a customer services rep at least. Seems like a missed opportunity to have us all just stand there like patient cattle…

What then happens is the client is offered the chance to “upgrade” and actually make a small purchase. In internet marketing you often get what’s called an OTO [one time offer], a screen that will literally only appear one time and if you don’t take it you lose it. This is a real moment of truth in the business ladder as the prospect becomes a paying client, albeit with only a small purchase. But it demonstrates trust and starts the buying cycle.

The aim of the game is to have that client now move along the conveyor, purchasing bigger and more expensive products and services as they continue their client relationship with that company. This is what’s termed as “the upsell”. Think what Amazon does – as you browse books, they let you know that “buyers of this book have also bought…” at the bottom of the page.

So in McDonalds, we pick our meals and we’re asked if we want to “go large”, thus adding an upsell to the offer, giving the customer added value and increasing their profits in one fell swoop.

Now we’re in the backend – where all the money is – the client will come back and buy more, and more often, because now they know you, like you and trust you.

And when you get the Amazon book in the mail, guess what’s included in the box? More offers for other products and services that they think you might be interested in. Amazon really have it sewn up because now they’ll even buy your used books back off you, so they can resell them at second hand prices. A tight business model!

Does it work? Think how quickly Amazon has grown into a household name.

And once they have you on their books, you will get followed up with offers, discount vouchers and updates, just to keep them in the front of your mind so that next time you want one of those products, you’ll naturally go to them.

But what about McDonalds? Wasted opportunity #2. Have they ever contacted you after you’ve been in? Not me. At no point do they capture my name, email or postal address. Can they really rely on the fact that because we bought once, we’ll always come back? That’s a dangerous assumption…

So what does this mean to you? Well, if you run your own business as a Coach or Therapist, you need to have front end acquisition tools in place to capture prospects. They should then be offered a small purchase decision to convert them into paying clients.

And once they are on your books, I recommend you regularly follow up with a series of valuable information, offers, updates and helpful material. That builds loyalty and converts more prospects into paying clients who’ll partake of your main product/service/treatment.

Another thing about MacDonald, and maybe you can tell me because I don’t know. Why don’t they do home delivery? Wasted opportunity #3. OK, there’s drive through, but think how many people would call a phone number and get a Big Mac and fries delivered to their door on a Friday night. Surely they’ve looked into that as an add-on.

Far be it for me to go up against the big boys, but I’m seeing gaps here. Gaps that any good Coach or Therapist should fill and exploit in their professional practice.

Action Steps For You:
1. What front end free information will you offer to get prospects?
2. What small product or service will come next in your conveyor belt?
3. How can you make sure you capture their contact details?
4. What will your follow up message look like?

Now I’m off to play with my free Shrek toy…

The Survey Results Are In...

Hi there,

The Feedback poured in from the Coach/Therapist survey with hundreds of responses. Not bad for a 15 question online survey. Thanks for taking part if you did.

Want to know what the most pressing problems are for Coaches and Therapists as we enter April 2008?

I’ve included the full results at www.CoachTherapist.com

New helping professionals continue to struggle to get off the ground, and 81% are still earning less than £10,000 a year.

Wow! Makes you wonder why bother?

Now I am committed to identifying the roadblocks and creating resources that help people break through.

As a result of the feedback, I am in the process of completing “Project FP” which specifically solve these headaches once and for all.

To put your name on the VIP notification list so you get first shout when we launch, just go to www.CoachTherapist.com and click the link on the left.

Thanks again for the feedback. Rest assured I am hard at work creating the very resource you’ve asked for.

Watch this space!

Jonathan Clark.

Medication or Meditation?

I just watched “How does your memory work” on BBC2’s Horizon programme, and it was fascinating. Let me see if I can remember the highlights…

Clearly by the title the hour was spent looking at how memory works, and what happens when it starts to break down.

The Hippocampi are the part of your brain that record everything that’s going on right now, 24 hours a day – they never switch off. They take in 200 bits of information per second [that’s up on the 134 figure that I usually teach]. That information gets stored in your long term memory. We then imagine a future based on fragments of memories from the past. So if we imagine ourselves outside in the snow next winter, we create that image from our past experience of snow and winter. Fascinating.

The implication is that without our past we can’t conceive of our future.

Memory and future imagining starts at about age 5 [which is when we think the Conscious mind kicks in], and is mastered by age 9 when you’re completely aware of minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years.

Your memory is operating at optimum capacity by age 25, yet starts to deteriorate by age 27!! Brain shrinkage actually starts at age 20, and by the time they are 85 years old 50% of people have dementia. “Memory is like a machine – it can be overworked and can wear out” we were told. Interesting belief system – I must try not to remember that!

Events in your memory cannot be deleted at will [so they said]. And about 10% of us experience something we’d rather forget [I’m surprised that the figure isn’t higher?]

The example given was Post Traumatic Stress Disorder which they described as a £close encounter with death” [generalisation?]. The emotional imprint is so strong in some people that it stays fresh.

Now here’s the scary part! They discovered that a common beta blocker that has been in use for years has a curious side effect – it dulls the emotional intensity of a memory. They described this reduction in an emotion as a breakthrough!! [For those of us who know Time Line Therapy, EFT and various other interventions, this is not news!]

The drug inhibits the formation of protein, which in turn reduces the neurological connections in the brain – thus making the memory harder to remember. [Does this sound like a good thing to you?]

A ‘recent’ finding says that just recalling a memory makes it malleable and fluid [I learned that in my NLP training in 1997]

The woman in the study who had been sexually assaulted, was asked to take the pill and then write down an account of her assault. [So dope her then fully associate her, lighting up the neurology]

After 6 weeks of doing this, when the account was read back to the poor woman, according to their measurements and charts there was a 30% reduction in intensity. And she reported that the memory came back less often.

Officials stated that “we are on the verge of an important breakthrough”, and that erasure of a memory is a bad idea as our memory of our past forms our identity and gives us continuity. “Your memory is you”. Plus, “it’s important to learn from the past so we can anticipate and avoid danger in the future” [Uh, Time Line Therapy anyone?]

So in conclusion, which would you prefer – a course of 6 weeks of beta blockers, or 15 minutes of Time Line Therapy?

Project FP Is Coming...

On February 2nd I started an online survey at www.CoachTherapist.com to ask the marketplace the true state of the Therapy and Coaching industry today, and the feedback so far has been startling.

Initial survey results show that the majority are female, aged 36 - 45 and earn less than £10,000 per year.

Now the survey is still on line, and if you're a Coach or a Therapist of any kind then go and take part - its anonymous.

So much for the "Million Dollar Coach" or "Superstar Therapist" hype that gets bandied about so much.

On the same site you can add your name to the VIP Notification list for "Project FP".
What the heck is "Project FP"? I'm not telling just yet, but suffice to say that if you're a new or struggling practitioner, you're about to be handed the solution on a plate.

So cast your vote and get on the VIP list - you'll kick yourself if you miss it...

Calling All NLP Practitioners...

As you know we're in the run up to my 22nd NLP + HGE Practitioner Course.

To celebrate it, I've even dedicated a new website just for that programme, and its at www.theNLPcourse.com

I've put a Forum on that site, but it's feeling lonely and empty inside...[awww]

If you're already a Practitioner, would you be kind enough to log in and leave some comments in there, to start off the conversation?

Comments on your course when you did it, what's happened since then, your best result using NLP?

Any comments would get the discussion board from empty to buzzing, so it won't need a breakthrough session.

Hope to see you in there,

Jonathan

Shocking Report

There's 2 things I wanted to tell you about.

Those who know me know that I am patient and polite. In school my
friends used to call me "Gentleman John" [embarassing or what!]
You'll usually catch me in a really good mood.

But lately something's really crawled under my skin. I've been
talking to lots of people by phone and email...trying to be
patient and bite my tongue...but I just can't do it anymore.

My next NLP + HGE Practitioner Course starts on March 22nd, so I've
been kept very busy handling enquiries and talking to guys and gals
who want to learn NLP, Huna, Time Line Therapy and Hypnosis either
for their own personal development, or to get into a new career as
a Coach, as a Therapist or Consultant.

In fact, the Early Bird £430 Discount is still valid till Midnight
tonight Friday 22nd February. See www.theNLPcourse.com

But, and it's a big but, I'm getting to hear a lot of horror stories
about people signing up for NLP courses, getting poor training and
not being able to get their money back. Or being confused by the
Trainer and then being told they're STUPID. And coming out of a 7
day course impressed, but totally incapable of doing NLP themselves.

The most unbelievable one for me is dodgy characters that give you
a certificate because you bought their CDs on Ebay!

So I've written a Consumer Advice Guide to make sure you can avoid
this kind of thing, if you're thinking about learning NLP. Who am
I to take this kind of a stand? I'm an NLP Trainer, Author and
passionate enthusiast, and these cowboy tactics harm my reputation
and my industry.

As an Independent Financial Advisor in the UK, I was under the
close scrutiny, continual assessment and strict codes of practice
enforced by governing bodies that had full legal clout behind them.
If a client was unhappy or had felt they were misled, the full
weight of the law could be brought down upon the Company that was
responsible.

This doesn't exist in the NLP world! The so called "Governing
Bodies" in the NLP community have no real power, no enforcement and
weak assessment. Frankly, you can buy your way up the NLP ladder
and become a Trainer even if you've never seen a real live client
in your life. So when a student asks them "How have you used this
with real clients?", how can they answer honestly? And do you
really want to be one of their first ever students?

Here's the truth - I know of one NLP Trainer who, despite
allegations against him for child abuse, continues to work
exclusively with children. Unbelievable! Ironically, the same
individual has set up a fictitious "Institute for NLP Ethics"!!!
Hmmm...

Several female clients have complained to me [privately of course]
about seduction and hypnosis techniques being used inappropriately,
but they're all too scared to challenge the male NLP Trainer doing
it. Can you imagine?

I know of 3 so called "Life Coaches" whose experience consists of
a 3 day training course and 12 written homework assignments! But
will it tell you that on their brochures and websites? I doubt it.

It's no wonder that there are hundreds of people who think NLP is
a bit dodgy. AND, they are giving my chosen industry a bad name,
and that affects me.

Now you tell me, how can the "powers that be" prevent people like
this from practicing?

Do I have a bee in my bonnet about this? Yes I do. However,
it's not in my power to stop them. So I'm going to offer you the
next best thing...

In the next few minutes alarm bells might go off as you become aware
of some of the pitfalls of going into an NLP training blind...and the
ugly side of this industry that noone else has told you about.

It's not my intention to slam or offend anyone in particular here - there
will be no "naming and shaming", but I know you might get hot under
the collar after reading this report.

If you're not planning on studying NLP then give this a miss. But if
you are, or know someone who is planning to, then please make them
aware.

You can download the Guide here.

To your personal growth,

Makes you think...

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE 1920's, 30's 40's, 50's, 60's and 70’s!!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us and lived in houses full of asbestos.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese & tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes or cervical cancer.

Then after that trauma, our baby cots were covered with bright coloured lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets or shoes, not to mention, the risks we took cadging lifts.

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.

A trip to the coast on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the stream and NOT from a bottle.

Take away food was limited to fish and chips, no pizza shops, McDonalds, KFC, Subway or Kebabs.

Even though all the shops closed at 6.00pm and only opened for a few hours at weekends, somehow we didn't starve to death!

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We could collect old drink bottles and cash them in at the corner shop and buy fruit Spangles and some bangers to blow up frogs with.

We ate buns, white bread and real butter and drank soft drinks with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because......

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No mobile phones – no one was able to reach us all day. And we were always O.K.

We would spend hours building our trolleys out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. We built tree houses and dens and played in streams with matchbox cars.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 99 channels on Sky, no video tape or DVD movies, no surround sound, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms..........WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no Lawsuits from these accidents.

Only girls had pierced ears!

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

You could only buy Easter Eggs and Hot Cross buns at Easter time.......no really!

We had air guns and catapults for our birthdays,

We drank milk laced with Strontium 90 from cows that had eaten grass covered in nuclear fallout from the atomic testing.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them from the street!

Mum didn't have to go to work to help dad make ends meet!

Mum & dad didn’t need Brandy, Whisky whatever when they came in from work!

Footy had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!

Our teachers used to belt us with big sticks and leather straps and bully's always ruled the playground at school.

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

Our parents got married before they had children and didn't invent stupid names for their kids like 'Kylie' and 'Blade'

This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!

The past 70 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned

HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!

And YOU are one of them!

CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated our lives for our own good.

And while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave their parents were.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?!

Last Call For Bootcamp...

The Fully Booked Bootcamp practice building and income boosting programme starts on Sunday the 27th of January. After that, you’ll have to wait A YEAR till January 2009 before you can do it again. I know you might still be thinking about taking part, so you only have [at the time of writing this] 48 hours to book your seat.

If you’ve already decided that this is for you, just go to www.fullybookedbootcamp.com and use the “Priority Reservation” link, or alternatively call Eileen on 0800 072 5792. If you’re not sure, phone anyway. There is still room.

Between a video campaign on YouTube and 3 other video sites, articles, emails, personal invitations, a teleclass, a one day live event, a postcard campaign, Blogging, my affiliate programme, social bookmarking, Google Adwords and several other website adverts, it’s been MAD in my office. We’ve been kept busy with emails and phone calls about the 12 month programme, and several similar questions or queries kept coming up.

[By the way, imagine if you had all that promoting YOUR product or service….]

If you missed the teleclass and the one day “Client Magnet” seminar, you might like to read what folks have been asking about, and my best advice below.

Its January, I’m broke after Xmas and the economy is shaky – all the more reason to create an additional income stream doing something you enjoy. How else are you going to find the money to pay the credit cards and the higher mortgage? Are you just crossing your fingers and hoping the interest rates will drop and your employer will suddenly increase your salary? Or that magically clients will start flooding towards you? AIN’T GOING TO HAPPEN! I’ll show you exactly how to do it in the real world and I’ll even hold your hand over the next 12 months to help you.

The course fee is too high – I honestly did struggle with this – I wanted it to be high enough so it forced commitment and made you take it seriously, but it also had to be within reach for new start-ups and struggling businesses. That’s why the monthly fee is £466. Now understand this – the FIRST priority on Bootcamp will be to create a business plan that increases your income by at least £500 per month, thereby making your participation essentially FREE. Remember also that there’s a £6,000 guarantee on the course. You can all about it at www.fullybookedbootcamp.com

Can’t manage to the live training days in Glasgow each month – OK, here’s an alternative that several people have opted for. You get the audio CD recordings of each month of Bootcamp in monthly home study packs sent to you, 8 CDs at a time. So in fact you have a permanent library of content each month that you’ll refer back to forever. AND, you can still take part on the mid-month teleclasses and be part of the group. More than that, we’ll arrange to speak on a half hour mentoring call every week throughout 2008, PLUS unlimited email access at all times.

I am not a Life Coach or Therapist so this isn’t for me – Great! Last year we had an Electrician and a Yoga Teacher on Bootcamp. This is about ANY business, the principles are the same. If you have an idea for a product or service, or you have skills but no clients, this is the programme for you. If you want to start selling those lurid paintings you’ve been doing, this is the programme that’ll teach you how.

I’m not ready to launch my business yet, I’m still getting my qualifications
– fine, and why not LEARN how to launch and market yourself so that when the time comes and YOU’RE READY, you have all the know-how and precise step by step game plan to fly with it?

So what are you waiting for? How else are you going to generate an additional £6000 MINIMUM in 2008?

How Else Are You Going To Do It?

I've just swiched the TV off and my blood is boiling...

Maybe you saw these 2 programmes tonight on Channel 5 and BBC 2 just like me.

First was "It Pays To Watch" with journalist MartinLewis offering advice on how to save. I really like him and his enthusiasm, especially when he was interviewing Paul Daniels.

Paul Daniels had emailed Martin Lewis suggesting that credit cards be called "Debt cards" instead. Just to really ram the message home.

And this is January where everyone's feeling the pinch, interest rates are up, debt figures are soaring and disposable take home is at a low. How many of those apply to you?

Most people are struggling to meet their monthly commitments as those commitments continue to get higher...

What really got me stirred up was the BBC programme "What Britain Earns". Tonight I learned that the average British wage is £24,000 a year, and 90% of the population earns less than £46,000 per year.

That means you're probably in that band somewhere, maybe even below it.

What really got me going was the lowest pay rates for some of the most "vital" tasks. Hey, squaddies get an extra £12 an hour for being stationed in Afghanistan! Woohoo!

Here's the thing though - it doesn't have to be that way.

Sure you need the security of a monthly salary, but realistically what's the chances of you doubling your wage in 2008? Honestly?

You're probably sighing right now, or laughing out loud sarcastically. Someone once said a sigh means "if only"...

Well, would you believe me if I told you I can show you how to double your salary in 2008?

If you're a trained Therapist or Coach you can
If you're a trained ANYTHING you can
If you have hobbies or interests you can
If you long to work for yourself you can

And I want to hold your hand for the next 12 months and help you personally to do it.

My Fully Booked Bootcamp starts January 27th, where I'll be helping just 24 people build their own earning stream from scratch, and its backed up by a moneyback guarantee if you don't.
Check out the full story at

www.fullybookedbootcamp.com

and if you're interested, hit the Priority Reservation button and we can have a telephone chat about how badly you want to multiply your take home by 2.

How else do you plan to handle the higher mortgage, debt and commitments?

Best Wishes,

Jonathan Clark

Remember that there are only 20 places available on the Retreat and you can read all about the seminars, the bonuses, the spa, the pampering, the accommodation and the easy travelling arrangements at www.releaseretreat.com

As I write this there’s only 3 days left before we close the doors on this event. So if you if you do want to book a place then there’s still time, as long as you beat the 5pm deadline on Friday the 4th of January.

OK, so here’s the video – it takes a minute or so to download, and its about 4 minutes long and has all kinds of spectacular scenery in it. There’s also a photo tour and a virtual tour for you to check out. Here’s the direct link

    Happy New Year!

I just want to wish you a happy new year - and urge you to make 2008 your best year yet!

Now's the best time to set goals for your future. I'm not talking about silly new year resolutions that never last past January 3rd, I mean life direction in all the major areas of your world - health, money, relationships, family, fun... And here's one way to do just that:

How to make 2008 your better than best year so far!

The time for New Years Resolutions is past. Here's what works instead...

If you are having even the remotest thought about setting new year's resolutions...Don't!

They never work. By January 3rd you'll be smoking the fags, eating the doughnuts, guzzling the wine, kicking the cat and bitching about the neighbours just like the rest of us. Unless, that is, you use this process...

I was talking to a young lady yesterday who was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She moved to las Vegas 2 years ago to live and work there, and when she recently went back to Hawaii to visit, she cut her trip home short and came back to Vegas early. I asked her "Why on earth would you do that?" She told me "People in Hawaii are happy just scraping by. Noone wants to improve themselves or their lot. And I'm not like that"

Goal setting and changing habits may sound like cliches, but like all cliches, they are based on truths. At this time of year you can't get away from stop smoking ads, drink driving warnings and shopping channel gadgets all aimed squarely at those of us who like to indulge. Well, there's a free way to change your ways and make your lifestyle more rewarding, and the only thing you'll have to exercise is your brain...

You probably managed to achieve some of the things you set your heart on this year. And you probably managed to cock up a few times as well. Both of these are life lessons, in fact the latter are probably more important and teach you way more than the victories do.

Get more of the things you want, and change the things you don't. Here's how. Grab a pen and paper [or a keyboard seeing as how writing is becoming a dying art!] and answer the following 10 questions over the next 10 days. Then by January 1st you'll have a killer game plan to act as your treasure map for the next 12 months. And it works.

This is the exact goal setting process that I've used successfully for the last 7 years running, and I can vouch for its power. this works!

It isn't a cheesey Hallmark Card kind of process - this really does do what it says on the tin, mainly because you actually do look at your victories and your disaters from 2007 (yeah, me too!) and you realy do Learn from them. If you are willing to clench your teeth, get the learnings from your mistakes and successes, then you can apply those learnings in 2008.

Who is the best life coach for you? YOU are!

I recommend you do this over 10 days. Pick one step and take the day to jot down answers. Keep coming back to it, and capture your thoughts on paper or on the PC. The computer is better because you can keep it all in one place and read over it again in the future. Plus you can set up a template with the questions and leave room for your answers. Then next December all you need to do is cut 'n paste.

If you want to go the whole hog, then I can thoroughly recommend the book "Your Best Year Yet" by Jinny Ditzler. That's where this comes from.

1] What did I achieve in the last 12 months?

2] What were my biggest disapppointments?

3] What have these taught me?

4] How do I get in my own way, and how can I stop that?

5] What do I really want out of life?

6] What different roles do I play? What hats do I wear?

7] Which role do I need to focus on for the biggest benefit?

8] What is my top goal for each role/hat?

9] Therefore what are my top 10 goals for next year?

10] How can I make sure I achieve these? What/who can help me?

Any plan is better than none at all. It doesn't matter whether you write 10 sentences, or a small book. Just genuinely take some time to answer these questions one per day over the next 10 days. You'll be glad you did.

Then put your top 3 learnings from Q3, your main focus area from Q 7 and your top 10 goals on a single sheet of paper, and stick it to your wall where you'll see it everyday. Visibility is key.

    Retreat Question # 2

This update covers most frequently asked Question # 2 about our new "Release Retreat" in Spain.

[We already addressed the # 1 question: "Exactly how much will it cost to spend 5 days in a luxury Retreat in Spain?" in the Blog entry below.]

QUESTION: "What subjects will be covered on the Retreat and what will I actually learn?"

BACKGROUND: I ran an online survey to find out exactly what my clients wanted in terms of seminar topics. I received all kinds of email and I was surprised to see the entries coming in. Gradually a popular set of choices started to appear as people "voted" through the options I'd given. The most common problems my clients have fall into three areas:
    1. Too much to do, too little time
    2. Never enough money
    3. Low energy and tired

SOLUTION: Now I think that's amazing, because those are what I teach as the 3 sources of personal power. What that means is, you only ever have 3 things that you can save up, invest into anything, or spend on anything. Time, Money and Energy. And you usually can't have one without spending one of the others. Making money takes an investment of energy and it takes time. Very often you have no time because you're too busy trying to make money. And that also can steal all your energy. Do you see?

So we've put together a series of afternoon seminars that cover solutions to all 3:

We are going to have a look at your health & energy, and the perspectives we are going to use are both ancient (Huna from Hawaii, and Feng Shui) and modern (NLP & Life Coaching).

There will be two intense sessions on money - how to earn more, save more and spend more. Throughout the week there will be prizes given out. Everyone has a chance to win free seminar places, free life coaching, books, tapes, and gift vouchers!

The third main topic will be time - we'll look at retraining your mindset around busyness and priority, as well as handing you a wealth of clever tricks and tips to get more done in less time. We want you to release any stress you bring with you at the Retreat, and change the rules so that when you go home you are equipped to manage your time better... forever!

BOTTOM LINE: Our intention is that by the time you get back you will have a wealth plan to get you out of debt [if you are, and most are], run your finances more intelligently and build a secure future so you're financially independent within 5-7 years. You'll be brimming with energy, you'll have recharged your batteries and will have ways to clear out the energy suckers and boost your oomph anytime you need it. And you'll get more done in a day than most people get done in a week, and it will be on your terms, not someone elses...

Stay tuned for more details. Our anticipated "go live" date is now Friday the 14th of December at 5pm. The best way to stay informed about The Release Retreat is by joining my announcement list...see details below.

    Retreat Question # 1

I have had three most frequently asked questions from my clients about the impending launch of The Retreat in Spain. This update will address the # 1 question...

QUESTION: Exactly how much will it cost to spend 5 days in a luxury Retreat in Spain?

BACKGROUND: A couple of months ago I let slip to my clients that I was getting ready to release an exclusive Retreat in the Murcia region of Spain and I wanted it to be a healthy detox experience for the mind and the body.

That was followed up with an online survey to find out exactly what my clients wanted in terms of seminar topics, accomodation levels, right down to the number of fellow students they'd feel comfortable being with. Between 20 and 30 students class size was most popular.

That survey set off a bit of a firestorm from my client list. I received scores of replies within a few hours of announcing it, and I was surprised to see the entries coming in. Gradually a popular set of choices started to appear as people "voted" through the options I'd given. One of the questions was "What price is MORE than you'd be willing to pay for such a Retreat?"

And to tell the truth, that was something I was struggling with... and one of the reasons why the launch was delayed from [originally] November to January 2008.

Our survey said anything over £1497 was too much.

I had to get quote after quote from the venue in Spain, haggle costs and negotiate terms so that it would be a win/win for everyone. It was imperative that we kept the standards very high, but kept the price below the most popular ceiling.

The cost of the Retreat is basically made up of Hotel Room reservations, Meeting Room costs, Audio Visual equipment, refreshments, and meals. Obviously my co-trainer and I want to be paid well for doing what we do, but my database had already told me how much they would be willing to spend Maximum.

Total cost for 30 people kept on coming out as £1595 per head, before we added flights.

SOLUTION: So given that background, we decided to take a rather unusual step. We have based all of our quotations around a group of 20 participants - 20 being large enough to secure a bigger group discount with the venue.

And, students will be asked to book their own return flights to Spain - we just can't factor that in and keep costs below the £1500 ceiling.

So the Retreat in January 2008 will cost £1497.

In addition, places will only be available for a few weeks over Christmas and New Year, because the world class resort we've booked want final numbers by a certain deadline.

Once those 20 places are gone, or once the time limit is up, we will close the doors to this event.

At that point I will review the costs of the Retreat and make sure that its satisfactory for the venue, for me AND MOST IMPORTANTLY for the 20 participants.

Now to be brutally honest with you, I think the first 20 places will be snapped up quickly, based on the response I've had so far. I've never seen one of my events get such a rapid and large response so quickly.

If [and I hope when] I do open up this event again, I will probably raise the price drastically. This Retreat is just not something I'm looking to fill with scores of people...the nature of this event is that it is small and intimate. Raising the price will have two effects - it will keep the numbers down by virtue of the price, and it will help pay us back for the enormous effort and cost creating and coordinating this event over 2 countries.

BOTTOM LINE: We have secured the Retreat at the most popular price of £1497 which includes accomodation, food, and workshops. Flights are not included, but they are cheap, especially if you book them early.

Initial places will be limited to 20, or however many we have shortly after the New Year. And the only people who currently know about this event are the loyal clients and customers on my mailing list. It will be opened to public bookings next week.

Stay tuned for more details. Our anticipated "go live" date is this coming Monday the 10th of December. The best way to stay informed about The Retreat is by joining my announcement list...see details below.

    Retreat Announcement & A Favour

    Hi there,

Jonathan Clark here, and I need to ask you for a favour...

We are REALLY close to completing our long-awaited Spanish Retreat which will be held in January 2008 and will be open to the public within the next 10 days...

We have literally been working on this all-out for the last 2 months solid, putting together the ideal package as voted for in an email survey that you probably took part in. But before we roll it out officially, we need to ask you a couple of questions. Can you help us out?

The Retreat will be 5 days in the Murcia region of Spain, in a world-class luxury location, with your mornings free to relax, roam around the area, get massages, swim or choose from a long list of healthy activities. Your afternoons will start with an after-lunch meditation then workshops with 2 successful seminar leaders right up till dinner, then evenings to spend as you like.

We are going to focus on your 3 main sources of personal power - time, money and energy, and we are going to show you exactly how to master all three. You will come back with a whole new set of lifeskills, recharged batteries and a tan if you want one ;-)

HOWEVER we need your help. Before we finalise everything and open the website up to the general public, we need to make sure we've covered everything. That is where you come in...please take a minute to answer this super-short survey - there are only 2 questions.

You can answer the questions [and get the FIRST sneak preview of our amazing venue] at this web page:

    http://user255682.websitewizard.com/question.html

    Many thanks in advance,

    Jonathan

    Final Huna Training

This is just a short message to invite you one last time to my final Huna training of 2007.

But be warned - this seminar contains sacred knowledge and practices from old Hawaii that were illegal to teach right up until 1989.

Can you believe that? In the nation that promotes free speech, theHawaiian people were banned from teaching their original system of psychology, healing, spirituality and magic. That's why its not easy to find quality information, never mind quality training inHuna.

I trained over 3 years in Hawaii and have been given permission to teach Huna. Its an honour, because of the sheer number of changes it makes to people's lives, including:

You have more energy, and can summon it whenever you need it

You get in touch with your spirituality

You can create almost magical change

    You dissolve toxic relationships

You clear out negative emotions and past hurts in seconds!

    You become calmer and healthier

Never mind the exoteric magic secrets that we teach you...

If you really want to expand your horizons and evolve yourself meaningfully then I invite you to come and spend a very special 5 days with me starting Monday December 3rd...

If its not for you, then thanks for reading. But if it is, go to

Thank you, or "mahalo" as they say in Hawaii.
