There's a 17th!!

If you want to be happy, be happy! I read that somewhere about 3 years ago and it kind of goes along well with the other 16 - if you want it be it - kind of along the same lines of Gandhi, I think it was him anyway! - Be the change you want to see

And that works brilliantly for clients who are having 'problems' communicating - ask them to imagine how they'd like it to be and then ask them to take at least one step towards being the person they see in their 'future' each day. i've found it helps enormously, though as I'm not completely without 'stuff' find that sometimes the halo slips, and after I think, aha, I didn't act as if.

All of that asides, which almost amounts to a but ... love your 16 Brian!!

16 Rules to Live by

Howdy,

Although I know all of us abide by the presuppositions of NLP at every minute of every day i found this post on a surf and thought I'd share it. A nicely skewed view on how to be happier -

Here are the 16 rules I try to live by:

1. Get and stay out of your comfort zone. I believe that not much happens of any significance when we're in our comfort zone. I hear people say, "But I'm concerned about security." My response to that is simple: "Security is for cadavers."

2. Never give up. Almost nothing works the first time it's attempted. Just because what you're doing does not seem to be working, doesn't mean it won't work. It just means that it might not work the way you're doing it. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, and you wouldn't have an opportunity.

3. When you're ready to quit, you're closer than you think. There's an old Chinese saying that I just love, and I believe it is so true. It goes like this: "The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed."

4. With regard to whatever worries you, not only accept the worst thing that could happen, but make it a point to quantify what the worst thing could be. Very seldom will the worst consequence be anywhere near as bad as a cloud of "undefined consequences." My father would tell me early on, when I was struggling and losing my shirt trying to get Parsons Technology going, "Well, Robert, if it doesn't work, they can't eat you."

5. Focus on what you want to have happen. Remember that old saying, "As you think, so shall you be."

6. Take things a day at a time. No matter how difficult your situation is, you can get through it if you don't look too far into the future, and focus on the present moment. You can get through anything one day at a time.

7. Always be moving forward. Never stop investing. Never stop improving. Never stop doing something new. The moment you stop improving your organization, it starts to die. Make it your goal to be better each and every day, in some small way. Remember the Japanese concept of Kaizen. Small daily improvements eventually result in huge advantages.

8. Be quick to decide. Remember what the Union Civil War general, Tecumseh Sherman said: "A good plan violently executed today is far and away better than a perfect plan tomorrow."

9. Measure everything of significance. I swear this is true. Anything that is measured and watched, improves.

10. Anything that is not managed will deteriorate. If you want to uncover problems you don't know about, take a few moments and look closely at the areas you haven't examined for a while. I guarantee you problems will be there.

11. Pay attention to your competitors, but pay more attention to what you're doing. When you look at your competitors, remember that everything looks perfect at a distance. Even the planet Earth, if you get far enough into space, looks like a peaceful place.

12. Never let anybody push you around. In our society, with our laws and even playing field, you have just as much right to what you're doing as anyone else, provided that what you're doing is legal.

13. Never expect life to be fair. Life isn't fair. You make your own breaks. You'll be doing good if the only meaning fair has to you, is something that you pay when you get on a bus (i.e., fare).

14. Solve your own problems. You'll find that by coming up with your own solutions, you'll develop a competitive edge. Masura Ibuka, the co-founder of SONY, said it best: "You never succeed in technology, business, or anything by following the others." There's also an old Asian saying that I remind myself of frequently. It goes like this: "A wise man keeps his own counsel."

15. Don't take yourself too seriously. Lighten up. Often, at least half of what we accomplish is due to luck. None of us are in control as much as we like to think we are.

16. There's always a reason to smile. Find it. After all, you're really lucky just to be alive. Life is short. More and more, I agree with my little brother. He always reminds me: "We're not here for a long time; we're here for a good time."

Thanks to Bob Parsons (www.bobparsons.com) for his thoughts...

BootCampers & Small Business Owners

Folks,

Jonathan mentioned an online networking tool on Sunday called Ecademy. I have included a link below that will enable you to register for free and receive a free 1 month network pass. This will give you some time to look around and get a feel for the site and decide whether it will work for you or not.

No bank detials or anything will be taken at this point if you don't want them to be.

I thought I'd post it here as sending these out directly through ecademy means the emails will keep on coming!

It is a great site and since upgrading my account last night my profile has already been viewed 46 times (of course each of these viewers then received an email which connects them back to me).

I've also been able to post, for free, my ebay CD listings in the ecademy marketplace and, of course, this means you can post your services, courses, training days, whatever in there as well...Still For Free!!

There is some guy on there selling this Fully Booked Bootcamp idea for people just like us. Looks like a good course, perhaps I'll get on it!

Anyway, click right here and you'll get taken to the site.

Enjoy

Brian

New Projects for 2007...

Fully Booked Bootcamp - enquiries still coming in, the group is forming nicely, I'm really excited about this year long programme and if you're not on it, stand back and watch what happens to the businesses that are!

Entrancing...Have a look at www.trulyhypnotic.com which is a new website I've launched...

Profitable - Also I'd recommend www.meanttoberich.com as well - seems this guy is up to something really rather curious...

Both websites were created quickly and easily [without any programming ability] using the really inexpensive (i.e.£23 per month) website creation software from

http://www.WebsiteWizard.com/index/dashboard

which I heartily recommend - it has all the bells and whistles you'd ever need - pop ups, surveys, autoresponders, broadcast module, built in Merchant Facility, audio, video - it's awesome! And it's Polish!

If you haven't got a website, and even if you do, grab one of these!

Science Learning Ancient Knowledge Shocker

I was having a browse and found a wee link to share to start us of in the New Year. It's good to know that science is finally catching up with the ancient knowledge. One day we might actually know as much as we did all those years ago...which will be nice!
I hope you manifest all that you want in 2007 and perhaps we may bump into each other on the journey.
Aloha.

Spare a thought for Jim and Jo

I just wanted you to know that my friend and client Jim O'Grady, whom some of you know from Practitioner and Master Practitioner courses, was involved in a serious car accident near Dumfries on Wednesday Dec 20th. He is in intensive care, more as a precautionary measure, but his carer Jo, and her sister who was also in the car, both lost their lives. Many of you knew Jo too, because she devoted her time to always being by Jim's side and caring for him in every way possible.

I'd like to ask you to spare some thoughts and good wishes for them all, and let's focus on Jim recovering quickly and easily. He's a fighter, and as stubborn as an ox, so lets hope that gives him an advantage in his recovery.

The first thing that came to mind when I got the news was the book "When Bad Things Happen To Good People" by Rabbi Kushner.

What I'm feeling right now is hard to put into words. I keep hearing the word "wrong". And so close to Christmas too - apparently they were on their way to Jim's sister's 80th birthday party.

So whatever you're doing over Christmas and New Year, spare a minute or two to send them all some positive energy.

Thank you

Miracles on Demand completes the year...

Thanks to everyone on "Miracles on Demand" this week - a really sweet and evolved way to officially end my training year of 2006. Our weather control finally worked! Friday is gorgeous! Pity it's a day late!

And thanks to Phil on the course for the following comment:

Again many thanks for the course.

The first day in itself was worth coming as it vastly improved the
framework I had, and included things, such as Na, which I guessed were in
there, but had not read about. As an ex aikidoist this is particularly
important that the concept of centering is included in the Kahuna name.

I wonder if any of the others on the course really appreciate how much and
how long they could have studied metaphysics without coming up with the
quality of understanding and knowledge you gave on the course.

Aberdeen Master Pracs

Is there one of us in Aberdeen? I have some indication of work and I feel Aberdeen is just a bit beyond my geographical scope on a regular basis. I'd be happy to have a chat about it. Jackie

Hi team - need some help - anyone any experience

of finding that someone's unconscious doesn't want to come out and play?? I have a client who has previously been treated badly by a therapist and was left back at age 4 in traumatic circumstances - he ended up in hospital.

He is keen to get rid of his ASFG with timeline. I started by using the human pendulum to get the root cause. At the first question I asked the normal - is it ok with your unconscious mind to let this go blah blah. It said no. Quite emphatically. I then went on to the various other questions raising the point that by hanging onto it, it was going against the Prime Directives of the unconscious mind blah blah. I still got no even though it recognised that it was in conflict. I asked for the reason and it appeared (through his voice) to fear of going back to hospital.

I thanked the uncon for its co-operation and assured it that all would be done safely quickly and easily. Then I brought client back to sit down.

He was very surprised at what happened and I continued to re-assure him that we had had a good result and asked him to communicate with his uncon more often so that it felt more secure.

I am intending doing some hypnosis next time, some healing scripts and some which alleviate the fear of letting go.

Has anyone come across anything like this before and is there any advice as to how I would be best dealing with it??

Many thanks. Jackie

Perception Projection

Given the group consciousness and the fact that we found we were getting 2 for 1 on a regular basis last week, I thought I'd raise this conundrum on the blog! Someone else maybe having the same!

We learned that clients come to you with your problem and after x number the next client is yourself - time to face up to it and do some clearing of your own. This bit I fully understand with regards to projection and perception.

I have 2 clients this week, both with issues which are mirrors of ones I cleared successfully during our Master Prac course. Apparently once you have cleared your own problems they show up in those outside of us.

My confusion therefore is this - in the law of projection and perception, how come if you have dealt with something it comes back in others? Surely if you have dealt with it then you aren’t projecting it anymore?? What is it’s purpose at this stage of coming back? And how do you then know whether it is a) something you still need to do work on or b)it is a confirmation to say you've cleared it!!

I’m trying not to be obtuse and I think that out of the confusion will come something which will integrate deeply.

All help gratefully received!! Jackie

How would you like all your money back?

Following on from an earlier post, I'm hereby announcing the 12 month bootcamp programme starting in January, where I'll personally help a small group of therapists/Coaches/Practitioners grow their practice so its full of paying clients and will have earned you anywhere between £12,000 and £50,000 by the end of 2007. That way, you've recovered all the money you invested in training with me, AND you're in profit.

It will consist of a One day seminar every month on a weekend, followed by a teleclass mid month, personal accountability, marketing strategies on how to increase your number of clients, build your reputation, keep the income predictable, guest speakers, and as much real life nuts and bolts "how to" as I can cram into 12 months.

This will contain ALL of my "Prophetability Now!" seminar content, PLUS all the other tricks of the trade that I've spent tens of thousands of pounds learning and implementing.

AND I need your help - to tailor make it to suit my existing clients, I need you to answer the following questions:

1) Which phrase best describes how likely you would be to buy this programme if it were available right now?

[ ] Definitely would buy it
[ ] Probably would buy it
[ ] Might or might not buy it

2) Overall, how different is this product from others you have seen?

3) How difficult would it be for you to obtain a similar product, benefits or results if the programme was not available?

Copy and paste your answers to me in an email to JonathanBOSS@aol.com so it stays private. You will be first to receive full details of the new programme as soon as it’s available!

Niche Positioning in Coaching

If you attract clients with your problems and as a coach you niche to a specific market are you going to outgrow that market which you, perhaps unconsciously, chose to clear your own problems in the first place?

And, if you have cleared your problems, how can you help others clear the problems that got you there in the first place and which you are really hoping you can help others avoid, if you only attract clients with your problems.

ie are old problems ones which you will get from clients because you have learned your lesson and now able to offer hope by being an example, or are you only going to get current issues?

Press Release spotted by Tom...

Baghdad, IRAQ —In what is being viewed as another blow to the war in Iraq
and the American-led fight against terrorism, U.S. soldiers have uncovered
stockpiles of "Paul McKenna’s Personal Power" cassettes and
other assorted motivational tapes in insurgent hideouts, and now fear they
are using them against western forces.

According to sources, insurgents are tapping into their potential to reach
all of their goals and aspirations, and once this happens, there's
absolutely nothing to stop them from making all their dreams come true.
"They're beginning to tap into their true potential by designing the
life they've always wanted for themselves," said one military
official who asked not to be identified. "They are in the process of
conditioning themselves for wealth and success by ending the self-sabotage
which has led them down the wrong path before. This could have serious
consequences for anyone who gets in their way - like us."

Government officials admit they were surprised at the rate in which the
insurgents had both embraced the tapes and put them to practical use, and
now speculate it will become a race towards self-empowerment and
self-realization which could potentially throw the entire Middle East out
of sync.

"Unfortunately, they're using motivational tapes against us, which
was certainly unforeseen by our intelligence community," Defence
Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said. "It has quickly become a battle
towards personal power and I can't tell you who, at this time, is winning.
That's really up to each individual to decide for himself or herself."

How to build a £50K Practice in 2007

I'm planning to run a yearlong programme starting in January, which is designed to take a group of enthusiastic and committed Practitioners, and walk them through the specific steps needed to have a thriving practice by the end of 2007. It would mean a one day seminar (weekend) each month, followed by a mid month teleclass, for 12 months. Each month we'd talk about mindset, specific client attraction steps, marketing strategies that work, as well as public accountability, group synergy and mutual support. Interested?

I'm currently asking clients and customers to take part in my new Poll, to find out what people's real issues are and what they need help with. If you've got 30 seconds, click on the link and cast your vote - it's anonymous, and its fast. I've also placed the same poll on www.jonathanclark.org, so by all means send people to that main site so they can take part as well.
