Training NLP Brains Are Like Laptops...
The bizarre thing about dealing with the unconscious mind is that problems can be solved without you actually knowing what's going on.
The conscious mind foolishly thinks its the problem solver. Actually, it's acting from either having witnessed some inspiration from the Higher Self [who knows and creates the future], or a replayed memory from the unconscious mind [who stores and organises the past]
Even your body, your physical environment, your neighbourhood and everything "out there" that you can perceive are just echoes of a replayed memory - you get what you expect. You can only see what you expect to see.
I like the metaphor of a laptop, connected to a projector and shining a powerpoint slide on the screen. Your nervous system is the laptop, the projector is your perception, and the screen is an otherwise blank canvas until you project onto it. You call that reality. But it can't be on the screen unless its on the laptop, get it?
There's no point in shouting at the screen just cos you don't like what you see on it. Actually there's nothing on it at all. It's what's on your hard drive that's the problem...
Memories are like the software running on your system. Too many old programs and there's no space for new downloads [ inspiration ].
The Higher Self is memory free and downloads nothing but inspiration from Spirit / the Divine / the quantum field / insert your deity of choice. This is a timeless and indestructible source of inspiration and insight.
So here's the method - petition the Higher Self to erase old, limiting programs. The unconscious mind boots up the old memory. With the conscious mind's permission the Higher Self can then defrag the hard drive [ Divine Norton Antivirus ]. This leaves a void or free space on the hard drive, and thus room for new programs to run.
What does this mean? All of your external experiences are 3D holograms whose source is either divine inspiration, or replayed memory.
So you have a choice - either replay old programs incessantly, or clean your hard drive every day...

Training NLP - If you can feel it, you can heal it
I'm working on a new "method" [not even sure that's the right word, cos it's bigger than that] that will make a lot of self help, mind techniques pretty much obsolete. Bold statement I know...
One recurring problem is the tendency for mental approaches to teach you to close your eyes and make a picture, visualise your goal or use affirmations "I like myself, I like myself, I sodding like myself". My point is, you're going into silence WITH something.
Now I have 2 main thrusts to my dissatisfaction with "mind techniques", and they are:
1] Many people have read spiritual books, attended seminars, meditated, incanted and tithed and seen ZERO sustained, tangible results
2] I have more books on visualisation than I ever visualised I'd have
Now as a Trainer of NLP, Huna, Time Line Therapy and Hypnosis this is a bitter pill to swallow. So I'm on a mission to get to the root of it, and I'm getting somewhere...
Rather than go into the silence WITH something, surrender and start listening, rather than pleading and waiting.
In the Self-Identity Through Ho'o Pono Pono method promoted in Joe Vitale's book "Zero limits" [which I love by the way, but as a Star Wars fan I'm nervous about the SITH part...] one is supposed to say "I'm sorry, please forgive me" whenever there's negativity/lack/pain.
The idea is that there's repentance and accepting responsibility for creating the circumstances in your universe, by acknowledging that something has gotten inside you. You "caught" the limiting programme, like a cold
The above phrase tells the Divine that you want forgiveness for yourself, then "thank you" expresses gratitude and then the faith that it'll get resolved. "I love you" brings in the aloha of your Higher Self.
This sounds like a plan, and I used it for many months, and it seemed to get results in the tangible, physical world of form. However, I now feel its a bit clunky and there's a better, easier and faster way.
Stay tuned...

Training NLP - I don't mind and it doesn't matter
The voice in your head isn't you.
Ever thought about that?
The voice is your mind, and you are more than just your mind. You are the awareness that you're aware with. So you witness your mind and its thinking.
If you ever hear yourself say "I'm stupid" change it to "My thinking is stupid" Makes a huge difference, and it's actually more TRUE.
In the 3 minds model that I teach [conscious, unsconscious and Higher Self] the internal chatter would be your conscious mind. The unconscious doesn't do language - it does pictures and feelings. And Higher Self? Well, it's your connection with Spirit, or Divinity.
Listen, you can think positive thoughts of abundance all you like and still be broke. Its your unconscious mind that creates and manifests. If your unconscious mind has feelings and complexes around poverty or success, you'll witness the 3D projection of that. As within, so without.
Now scientists have measured [who are these people?] that the unconscious mind is being bombarded with over 2 million bits of information per second. Yet your conscious mind can only handle about 134 bits per second. What does that mean?
It means there's WAY more going on than you know... right now. In fact it's impossible to be aware of everything that's going on in this moment. Therefore, if you're not aware of it, how can you expect to control it?
So let's leave you with a thought:
You can choose what you want, but you have to let go of whether you manifest it or not.
Let me know [your conscious mind's] thoughts...

More Gifts For Training NLP
As a fellow self-improvement fan, I have some cool gifts for you.
250 people already grabbed last week's free video and e-course, so in case you missed it, you can still get them for now at
http://budurl.com/ZentationIgnite
Now, not sure if you're a fan of New Years resolutions or not, but its March already and I wondered how your goals are going? Have things improved since Christmas?
My best students often ask for support but there's only so many folk I can teach at a time, and only the ones who are deadly serious about having more fun, more freedom and more confidence.
Whining and complaining won't make it better, but taking action will. Einstein said that [or something close!] After 18 years helping people, I've nailed the real reasons people why people talk a good game, as well as the most popular areas to change.
So I've come up with something that I think you'll use to make your life easier. It might not be for you, but take a look anyway:
http://budurl.com/C1Thing
You can also email me and tell me how things are going, and there's a great prize for the winning entry...
Enjoy!
Jonathan

NLP courses - evolution of a Practitioner
"Let go of your ego and your ego's desires, and be guided by the Divine" - anon
Typically when a new student joins one on my courses while I'm training NLP, they go through 4 stages:
1] Victim mentality - they start off feeling powerless, at the effect of circumstances in their lives, complaining and protesting, fighting authority yet nothing changes. It's always everyone else's fault - the economy, the government, their parents, their education, blah blah blah.
These guys don't come on NLP courses, though occassionally they are SENT!
2] Seizing control - reading a book, or listening to a cd, or hearing a speaker or trainer wakes them up and challenges them to look again. The student learns about intention, visualisation and the crucial need for action. Things then start to get slightly better and they get glimpses of magic in their lives - synchronicity, manifestation, coincidence
Can you relate to this?
3] They wake up - unplug from the Matrix, remove the shroud, and finally part the curtain. They realise that intentions are limitations, that "attraction" and "intention" suggest a gap, and there is no gap.
The student starts to tap into their latent power, but they still get frustrated at things in the world of physical form that they can't seem to control - money, bodyweight, health.
4] Surrender and silence - They stop striving and efforting and instad go silent. Surrender to the Higher Self/Spirit/God/Quantum Field/I'o/insert your label of choice here.
If you let go and trust [as amply described in Beck and Cowen's Spiral Dynamics - see http://www.thelatentpowerofyou.com ] and evolve from level 5 to level 6. Connect with the Higher Self, get inspired and act on it. The student's world fills with awe and wonder and gratitude. And there's no going back...
So what stage are you at, or have you realised yet that in fact there are no stages...?

Training NLP and Huna - free will or free won't
"Whatever you believe - that belief will work for you"
I read this in Joe Vitale's book Zero Limits.
Your belief sets the framework for your experiences, and that helps all of the things you prceive to make sense to you. And when things come into your awareness that don't match your beliefs, you'll find a way to make it fit by rationalising it, or you'll end up taking drugs!
The problem is that our minds get in the way of the natural flow of things. If the conscious mind were to acknowledge the existence of spirit, it would know that its doomed and that it's no longer needed.
It can't stand that thought, so to justify its existence it creates sophisticated problems and addictions which need to be solved and puzzled out, by none other than your CONSCIOUS MIND! But all the while your mind is preventing you from savouring the peace and stillness that's available to you in the moment.
So all the therapy, complementary and alternative "interventions" are designed to clear the fog and get past this tricksy rascal.
The truth is, you have a gift inside you - a latent power or talent that lives within. Eventually you'll become increasingly aware of what it is, and you'll either embrace it or label it as your curse.
Once you've judged it good or bad, you make it so.
Bad = drugs, addictions, therapy as you struggle to hide/handle/release/silence/accept it.
Good = embrace it, let it shine, allow it to come out to play
It's a case of free will or free won't...
This even applies to food. Your beliefs about what you eat determine the results it has on your physical body. It's not unhealthy food that's dangerous, it's unhealthy associations to that food.
We all know of cases where people live long lives smoking, drinking or eating salt and sugar and they're still going strong at 90 years old. So it can't always be nutrition.
"Nothing has any meaning bar the meaning you give it" said Tony Robbins.
So it's not the food that's dangerous, it's the dangerous thoughts you have around the food that are dangerous!
Fascinating concepts, eh?
See, you cam't predict your next thought, can you? Try. I'll wait here for a moment while you do that...
See? You can't. You can verbalise it once you witness it, but you're not generating your thinking consciously. You notice it coming through [like a ticker tape or scrolling news headlines] and then choose to act on it, or not.
So this article will speak to you where you are right now. And you'll either reject it or embrace it. Free will or free won't.
