Hi there, this is Jonathan Clark from Lose Weight For Scotland – it’s my mission to Crush Obesity, Add Years To Your Life & help you to Look Good Naked! I challenge Scots to lose 10 lbs of fat or gain 10 lbs of muscle, even if they've tried everything else, and it’s guaranteed. One of the questions I get asked all the time is What about nutritional supplements?
Those beautiful fruits and veggies! They stare at you from packed shelves in the
grocery Store and scream “buy me” with their bright
shiny reds, glossy greens and mellow yellows but these fresh fruits and veggies
have lost a lot of their nutritional punch!
I recommend you supplement your diet – there just isn’t the same
nutrition in your food nowadays as there was 100 years ago.
Mass production, farming, pollution – all of that
means that the average apply today has half of the nutritional goodness of 70
years ago. Government health advice is
to eat at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day to help maintain
health and possibly avoid some cancers.
But the food we are eating today is simply not as good for us as it was
during World War II. "In fact, you
would have to eat eight oranges today to get the same amount of vitamin A your
grandparents got from a single orange. And you would need to eat five to get
the same level of iron" Now it's chemically induced growth and what is
grown more and more tends to be genetically modified.
So what are the Reasons for the decline? Well, Modern farming methods are blamed for
the lack of minerals such as copper, iron, magnesium and potassium in fruit and
vegetables. Crops are being grown in
soil stripped of its goodness. fruits being picked before they are ripe.
Nutritional supplements help fuel and support our body's
needs when we can't or simply don't eat enough nutrient dense whole foods to
fuel our body. Without them, the body
becomes weakened, you can develop fatigue, headaches, pain, constipation, dull
hair, poor skin and left unchecked, can develop more severe conditions such as
Type II Diabetes or Heart Disease. I’m
so glad I don’t get headaches anymore!
